2. Plan

  • Know where your local shelter is - check out FloridaDisaster.org to find shelters in your county.

  • Fill your car with a tank of gas prior to a storm

  • Withdraw cash - CC payments may be down after a storm

  • Have a plan of action for family, including pets, in case of evacuation

3. Home Preparedness

If a hurricane warning is in effect...

  • Clean your yard of any debris that could be hazardous if blown around.

  • Cover up windows/doors with plywood or storm shutters

  • Follow evacuation guidelines
